Waste and recycling collections will change during the weeks beginning 22 December 2025, 29 December 2025 and 5 January 2026. Collections will be up to 3 days later than usual.
Collections will return to normal from Monday 12 January 2026. Please remember to put your bins out by 6am on your collection day.

Croydon Council will be collecting your unwanted real Christmas trees from Monday 5 January 2026 to Friday 16 January 2026.
You will need to:
- put your tree out by Monday 5 January – we will collect it as soon as possible by Friday 16 January
- remove all decorations, lights, pots, and stands
- place your tree at the edge of your property, clearly visible from the road, without blocking pavements or access routes

How to recycle your tree
You can take your real Christmas tree to any Croydon Council reuse and recycling centre.
If you use the garden waste collection service, you can cut your tree into smaller pieces and place it in your garden waste bin.
